OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 11 series this year, so we can expect the next upgrade or next series atleast after a year. But we already started seeing leaks related to the upcoming OnePlus 12 revealing some key information related to the processor and the camera setup. As per the latest leaked news, OnePlus 12 is going to get a huge update on the camera front and OnePlus already started testing this smartphone. It looks like that it will compete directly with the Samsung’s flagship which is already available in the market. As this is the first time we are seeing news related to the upcoming OnePlus 12, we can come to a conclusion on any aspect.

Based on the latest report received from digital chat station, it says that the OnePlus is testing a smartphone with an unknown smart phone with model number SM8650 product which is expected to be backed by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. However it is not posted as OnePlus 12, but we can expect this could be for the next upcoming OnePlus series. This post is also revealing that the brand will be partnering with Hasselblad to offer better cameras via their upcoming smartphones to its customers.
It is almost confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be launched towards the end of this year, so we can expect that this upcoming OnePlus smartphone (could be OnePlus 12) to be launched by the early next year. It also says that the brand is working on the periscope cameras since a long time. With the periscope capability in cameras, it will offer the best quality photography with better zoom which is currently present in Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Google Pixel 7 Pro which are offering the 10x optical zoom and 5x optical zoom. It also indicates that Realme is also working on the periscope lens for cameras, this can be good news for the Realme fan base.
With the latest improvements in the camera department, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will be tough competitor to the likes in the segment. We should know more information and leaks in the coming days through which we can get any further clarity. Most likely, OnePlus will be launching their next lineup by mid of next year.
