Finally it is official now, Motorola Edge 40 will be launched in India on May 23rd at 12 noon IST and this is going to be a Flipkart exclusive. Flipkart also hosted a dedicated page on their official website teasing the launch date and showing a key specifications. Motorola is claiming that the Edge 40 is the slimmest smartphone in the world which is 5G capable, backed by MediaTek Dimensity 8020 and IP68 rating for both dust and water resistance.
This smartphone will stand after the Motorola Edge 30 which was launched last year. Top highlights of the Motorola Edge 40 are the world’s first smartphone to come with MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, 144Hz 3D curved display, edge lights, 68W fast charging and may more.
Motorola Edge 40 Specifications and Price
Motorola Edge 40 features a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED 3D curved display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz with in-display fingerprint sensor as well. It also comes with edge lights which will turn on while receiving a call, message or a notification. It comes powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8020 coupled with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
It is backed by a 4,600mAh battery with 68W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging support, Motorola claims that this is the first in segment to support 15W wireless charging. It also claims that the phone cane be fully charged in 10 minutes and run for upto 30 hours.
It sports a dual camera setup on the back comprising of a 50MP primary camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera. It also has a 32MP camera on the front for selfies. For better sound experience, it comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. Motorola Edge 40 runs the latest Android 13 US.
In the global markets, Motorola Edge 40 is priced at EURO 599.99 (Rs 54,200 approx ). However, In India we can expect this to be available between Rs.40000 – Rs.50000. It will be available in Eclipse Black, Nebula Green and Lunar Blue colour options.
