Ola is planning to launch a new electric scooter under their existing Ola S1 series scooters. It is officially teased by CEO Bhavish Aggarwal that the company will be launching a new electric scooter. We can see the headlamps of the scooter which are in pod-shaped and similar to the headlights which are seen on the existing Ola S1 series scooters. It is expected to be launched in the month of July.
As seen in the teaser poster, this new scooter will be revealed at the company’s #endICEAge show Part 1 which is going to happen in July. The bot-like headlight design is being carried from the previous S1 series scooters and a small windscreen can also be observed in the picture. We don’t have any more information yet, we should see more news from the brand in the coming days on what to expect.
Ola is also re-organising the existing Ola S1 lineup, company already decided to deprecate the 2kWh and 4kWh battery pack options on the latest Ola S1 Air. Ola S1 Air will be coming only in a 3kWh battery pack option with an IDC-certified range of 125km. Deliveries will begin sometime in July.
Ola S1 Pro specifications
Ola S1 Pro is powered with an electric motor delivers 8.5kW peak power output and 5.5kW nominal output backed with a 4kWh fixed battery pack. This got a IDC-certified range of 181km. It takes around 6 hr 30 min to fully charge the battery at home. This electric scooter have Eco, Normal, Sports & Hyper different drive modes and it can achieve Zero to 40kmph in 2.9 seconds and the top speed mark is 116 kmph.
It got 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 90-section tyres, Disc brakes with 220mm rotors up front and 180mm rotors at the back. Other features of the electric scooter are Music controls, Navigation, Multiple drive modes, 7-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth pairing, LED lights and many more.
