Vivo launched the first smartphone under their Vivo S17 series, the Vivo S17e in China. The other smartphones which will come in this series are the vanilla Vivo S17 and the top variant Vivo S17 Pro. The rest two smartphones are yet to be officially launched in China.
Top highlights of this smartphone are in-display fingerprint sensor, dual rear camera setup, MediaTek Dimensity 7200 and AMOLED display are a few to name.
Vivo S17e specifications
Vivo S17e features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It sports a dual camera setup on the back comprising of a 64MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation and a 2MP camera. It also has a 16MP camera on the front for selfies.
It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 and will be available in 8GB RAM+128GB storage, 8GB RAM+256GB storage, and 12GB RAM+256GB storage variants and Sunny Blue, Quick Sand Gold, and Midnight Black colour options. It runs OriginOS 3 on Android 13 and is backed by a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
Connectivity options of the smartphone include in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and many more.
Base version of the Vivo S17e with 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage is priced at CNY 2,099 (Rs 24,785 approx), mid version with 8GB RAM + 256G internal storage is priced at CNY 2,299 (Rs 27,150 approx) and the top-end version with 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage comes for CNY 2,499 (Rs 29,510 approx) Customers can pre-order this device starting May 20th.
As we have already seen in the past, Vivo usually launches the Global S-series under V-series in India, we can expect that the Vivo S17 series can be launched as Vivo V29 series in India. We are yet to receive an official update from the brand regarding the India launch dates, prices and availability.
