Bengaluru based electric vehicle startup Simple Energy announced their electric scooter in 2021 and pre-bookings were also started. Due to some issues, the launch got delayed. The most anticipated Simple One premium electric scooter from the brand is now official launched, company also claims that this is packed with a huge battery with a range upto 212km with a single charge.
This latest scooter comes with a very sporty look, 30L boot storage, multiple ride modes and a 7-inch coloured TFT display.
Base version of this scooter is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top-end variant is available for Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Company will also offer a 750W fast charger for the top-end variant for an additional cost of Rs 13,000.
Simple Energy is planning to start the scooter deliveries by June 6th 2023 and also planning to setup 140 to 150 dealer centres across the country by the end of this year. This latest electric scooter will be competing with the other scooters Ola S1 Pro, and Ather 450X electric scooters which are already available in the market.
For any electric vehicle, the most important thing is a battery. Simple One Electric Scooter is packed by a a 5 kWh lithium-ion battery, company claims that this can run upto 212 km with a full charge (with ~6% charge still remaining). However the actual range might vary depending on the driving modes, traffic and road situation as well.
This comes equipped with an electric which is capable to create 8.5 kW of power and 72 Nm of torque, this will reach 0 – 40kmph in 2.77 seconds and the top speed being 105 km/h. It also has a 7-inch TFT display which can be connected to a smartphone via bluetooth, riders can use the screen to control the music and view map navigations as well. It also have four different ride modes; Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic and a good 30L boot storage capacity.
