As we already know that the Google launched the latest Google Pixel 7a few days ago, we are now seeing some news around the upcoming Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro. It is expected that these smartphones will be launched sometime next year. It is too early to get more concrete information but here is the latest leak posted by Kuba Wojciechowski as 91mobiles exclusive shows a first look of the device and thermometer feature of it.
In the latest video leak, we can see Google Pixel 8 Pro with a punch-hole design on the front with a selfie camera embedded which is pretty much similar to what we have on Pixel 7 Pro. On the back, we can see a triple camera setup which are arranged in the pill shaped setup, even the camera setup looks similar to the Pixel 7 Pro camera arrangement.
The video below shows the thermometer function which will be coming in the Pixel 8 Pro, it might be present near the LED flash on the back. It is going to be a dedicated thermometer sensor setup which is capable to measure the body temperature. Much detailed demonstration of this feature can be seen in this video.
One thing to be noted before using this feature is to make sure that there are no accessories present on the face/fore-head. After that, you should bring the Pixel 8 Pro’s sensor near to the forehead, once you tap the start button, it will start the process and will vibrate once it is done.
This latest thermometer function will be available only on the Google Pixel 8 Pro. Along with measuring the body temperature, it is also capable to measure the temperature of any body or different objects. All the temperature test results are stored in the local storage and will be driven by the Android Private Compute Core.
Seeing at the past Google Pixel launches, we should expect Google Pixel 8 series might be launched in October. Based on the past leaks and reports which we seen till now, Google Pixel 8 Pro is expected to feature a Samsung’s 50MP ISOCELL GN2 camera sensor, this is also considered as the biggest camera sensor from Samsung. It will be featuring a 6.52-inch display and will be backed by a latest processor with code-named “Zuma”, could be the next gen Tensor G3 as Tensor G2 is seen in the Pixel 7 series smartphones.
