Google officially launched the Google Pixel Fold at their Google I/O 2023 conference. This is the first foldable smartphone from the brand. Google also claims that this will be the most slim foldable smartphones available in the market. We can see that it has a 7.6-inch flexible punch-hole display and a multi-purpose hinge design.
As the way this is designed, it allows the users to use in multiple ways while taking any calls, clicking photos. Google also introduced some features dedicated to the foldable smartphone like the Dual Screen Interpreter Mode which enables the real-time translation using two displays.
Google Pixel Fold will be available only in the US, Germany, Japan, and the UK markets for now, India launch details are not yet confirmed by Google.
Google Pixel Fold Specifications
Google Pixel Fold features a 5.8-inch cover OLED display and a 7.6-inch flexible screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is powered by Tensor G2 processor paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB and 512GB storage options.
It also has 8.3MP dual cameras one is present on the inner display and the other one is placed on the cover screen. It also sports a triple camera setup comprising of a 48MP + 10.8MP + 10.8MP on the back. Cameras are packed with a lot of features like Portrait mode, 5x optical zoom, Real Tone, Night Sight and many more.
It is backed by a 4,800mAh battery which also supports 30W fast charging. It runs Android 13 and will also get Android 14 this year.
Google Pixel Fold comes for a starting price of USD 1,799 (Rs 1,47,000 approx) Customers in the US can pre-order the Pixel Fold now and the shipping will begin in June. Customers will also be getting a Pixel Watch at no cost.
